I’m back! I made a very quick trip to Colorado to help my son, Steven, move to Washington state. He is the new Director for a local After School Program here in Goldendale. It is nice to have him close!
This month’s theme for card class was Thank You cards, so I have a few more to show you over the next few days.
These first two are made from Stampin’ Up!© Cards & Envelopes Designer Cuts Kit, package of 8 cards and envelopes – 4 cards each of two different designs. These cards are so gorgeous! They are item #125414 and are found on page 9 of the Occasions Mini Catalog which runs through April 30, 2012. These laser-cut cards are made on Stampin’ Up!©Very Vanilla cardstock and come with Stampin’ Up!© Blushing Bride envelopes. You can purchase them on my on-line store!
The most difficult part of taking advantage of this beautiful card kit was trying to decide which one of 50 techniques to use! …okay…50 may be an overstatement, but I kept thinking of new ideas as I worked on each card and haven’t even been able to try all of the different ideas I came up with! The ladies in the class came up with a few ideas of their own also and their cards were fantastic also!
On this first card, I cut a piece of Stampin’ Up!© vellum cardstock and temporarily adhered it to the card front with Dotto and colored the images with Stampin’ Write © Markers for a stained glass effect. After I finished coloring, I moved the vellum to the back of the front of the card, adhered it with Snail and then covered the vellum with Very Vanilla cardstock to protect it. I added a small ribbon and stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card.
The second card, I cut a strip of Stampin’ Up!© Tempting Turquoise cardstock and put behind the laser cut image. Then I sponged the card with Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink and stamped my sentiment on the front of the card.
I would love to hear what technique you use on these cards. The possibilities are endless!
