Lots of Birthday Cards

My younger sister, Starell, just turned 50 this past week.  A milestone, to be sure!  She is still beautiful and doesn’t look her age!!  So unfair for the rest of us!!

As a special gift for her, to honor this great milestone in life, I made her 50 individual birthday cards and sent one a day for 50 days with a one dollar bill in each card.  It really stretched me to come up with the different cards and some days I was scrambling to get that day’s card made!  Some cards were funny, some “just a touch” mean (in a loving sort of way!), some playful and some beautiful in hopes to remind her how beautiful and loved she is.

A few of the cards, I have already posted on here.  I tried to sneak in a few once in a while, but also wanted to be careful not to give any away until she saw the card first.

Here are a few of the last ones I sent recently

This card was so simple!  It is made with Floral District Double-Sided Designer Papers (DSP)  I cut my card stock 8″ x 6″ and scored at 3″ to make this long and narrow.  After I made the card, I thought…..”this needs to be a small notebook!  So perfect to put in your purse.  I plan on making a few of those!

This card is beautiful and fun.  Sorry to say I used some retired Stampin’ Up!© products to make this one.  But this card could easily be recreated with current products and be just as beautiful!

The cardstock is Elegant Eggplant with So Saffron and Whisper White.  The inks are Elegant Eggplant and So Saffron.  Sorry to say, the ribbon is retired, the new Stitched Daffodil Delight would work beautifully!  (I just didn’t happen to have any!…but it is on my list to order!)

I have shared this card before, but I made just a few minor changes and made it into a birthday card.  I love that Stampin’ Up!© stamps and supplies are so easy to mix and match!  Again, this card is made with my very favorite technique – Stampin’ Up!© Watercolor Crayons.  Every card is unique using this technique!

Be sure to check my on-line store for all the products and supplies you need to make beautiful cards!  Your family, friends and loved ones will love receiving a hand-made card from you!  Nothing touches a heart quite like a home-made card!

Happy Stamping!
