I finally got back into my stamp room!
It seems like it has been forever, but I finally got some stamping done and had a wonderful time! It is so good for me to stamp and be creative. It gets those “feel good” ions running around in my body and brightens my outlook, my attitude and my surroundings! Everything looks brighter, cleaner and more cheerful!
I am still working on birthday cards for my younger sister’s birthday. She is getting quite a selection of them from me this year as this is her big Five-O. It has been so much fun sending her one card each day with a personal note and $1 bill (for 50 days). I hope she is enjoying receiving them as much as I am making them and sending them to her.
It is always good when we think of someone else and do something special just for them. It heals our soul and brings us great joy. That is what I am experiencing with making these fun and special cards for my little sister. It reminds me of times growing up – of good times and bad – family times of joy and family times of sorrow – but always loving my siblings and knowing I had a friend when I needed one.
I stamped the images with Black StazOn Ink #101406 onto watercolor paper #122959 and then colored the stamped images with Watercolor Wonder Crayons (each color family has its own Crayons). My only regret: I didn’t have the right color of Crayon to show my sister’s beautiful red hair…but I played with a few different colors to get a bit of the right effect :o)
To add texture and layers to my card, I embossed a layer of Primrose Petals cardstock with Fancy Fan Textured Embossing folder #127751. I then added a small Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon to the top layer.
So easy, so cute and so much fun!
