Pleasant Poppies Card

I love this NEW Stampin’ Up!© stamp set called Pleasant Poppies #129499 (clear mount) and #126480 (wood mount).  This is a large single stamp which measures 4-1/4″ x 6″.  This stamp is easily used in part or  in whole – just stamping the portion of the image that fits your creation.

For several weeks in May and June, surrounding the area I live in, Goldendale, WA, there are wild poppies everywhere!  The wild poppies here are orange and two shades of yellow, so I took advantage of the natural beauty of this area and colored my poppies to fit our surroundings.  I used Stampin’ Up!© Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  The  Stampin’ Up!© Watercolor Wonder Crayons are still my very favorite of all the different stamping techniques.  They are so versatile and easy to use and make any card or stamped image appear as though it has been water-colored by an artist!

It is so beautiful and speaks to me of the beauty here in the Pacific Northwest.

For this particular card, I used the Watercolor crayons called Tangerine Tango©, Daffodil Delight©, More Mustard© and Garden Green©.  Don’t you love that all Stampin’ Up! products are color coordinated so that you can mix and match papers, inks, ribbons, brads, buttons and other embellishments?  I sure do!  It makes all of my stamping projects so much easier and beautiful!
