Is it difficult for you to try something new with your crafts or fashion? It sure is for me! It seems to take me months to try something new and even then I take my time and try to talk myself out of it. Don’t know why I do that, but it seems to happen again and again!
One of my latest NEW endeavor was using the Stampin’ Up!© Soda Pop Tops on one of my cards. But I fell in love with it immediately! So silly…why do I wait when the outcome is always so positive?? Don’t know if I will ever figure it out!
I wanted to make a cheerful, bright fun “Friend” Card for the spring. I tried a few new products on this card:
My favorite NEW piece of this card is the Stampin’ Up! Soda Pop Tops, #129388. The Soda Pop Tops come in two different sizes – a smaller one and a regular size one. The smaller ones are so cute! For this card, because I want to be able to send it through the mail, I flattened the regular size Soda Pop Top by running it through the Big Shot #113439 (I would be lost without this great machine!) The process flattens the Soda Pop Top into an interesting scalloped looking circle. The flattened piece still is higher around the outside edge and flat in the middle. This allows the Soda Pop Top to be embellished with a 1″ circle punched center or other embellishment.
My embellished Soda Pop Top is setting on a flower stamped with the Printed Petals Clear Mount Stamp Set #120444 and Melon Mambo Classic Ink. The stamped image is punched out with the Blossom Punch #125603. I also punched out additional stamped images using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309, that I stamped from the Printed Petals Clear Mount Stamp set in both Mellon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie Classic Inks and used a variety of small punches to punch out little pieces to decorate around the front of the card. Using the stamped Printed Petals Flower, I could punch various little pieces, each having a different design on it.
To finish out my card, I used stamped images from the Affection Collection #127949 Clear Mount Stamp Set. So many possibilities!
So I am giving myself and YOU a challenge! What Stampin’ Up!© product have you been holding on to that you haven’t used – OR – what product have you thought about getting but just haven’t brought yourself around to it yet? Pick on this week! If you don’t yet have it, order it from my on-line store where you can shop 24/7! But do get the product and try it out! Take a step out in faith and try it out! Let me know the results and what you think of that product. I would love to hear.
You can purchase that product and so many more on my on-line store!
I am thinking about doing more with the Paper Piercing tool. It isn’t something I have done much with. But I have seen beautiful results on cards that others have made. I think I will give it a try!
If you don’t see something soon done with the Paper Piercing Tool on my Blog – get after me and hold me accountable!
