It is that time of year! Have you done your Spring Cleaning yet? I must admit that I am a little behind. And even though a few things have been done, there is much much more to do!
But even my Craft Room gets a cleaning a couple of times each year. I try and I try to get organized and to find that ‘just perfect way’ to hold my items and to have them all easy accessible and in a logical order… I haven’t yet found it – but I keep trying!
The cards below are an outcome of my Stamp Room Spring Cleaning. I have several pieces of Stampin’ Up!© Double-sided Designer Papers that are not a full package or a large enough quantity to do too much with, so I decided I needed to find a way to use them up.
I used the Secret Garden Framelit Dies #129372 to cut the flowers out of the Paper scraps. Any scraps will do! They can be stamped with flower images or just cut out with the Framelit Dies. Both ways work to provide the desired outcome. I used Designer Papers with greens in them to make the leaf, also cut with the Secret Garden Framelit Die.
I used a variety of retired Stampin’ Up! buttons and brads to decorate the flower centers and to add some ‘bling’ to my card.
The vase, for the card, is a scrap of Bravo Burgundy cardstock #105123 scrap punched with the Ornament Punch #119847. I just trimmed off the bottom point of the ornament to make the vase look like it was standing on the table top. Before adhering the vase to the card front, I tied a small piece of Baker’s Twine around the top of the vase to decorate it The Baker’s Twine comes in a variety of colors on page 172 of the Stampin’ Up!© Idea Book and Catalog and can be used so many ways to embellish your cards and projects.
The finishing touch on my ‘Spring Cleaning Card’ is the “hello” sentiment stamped with Pennant Parade Clear Mount Stamp Set #122742 on Baja Breeze paper scraps and punched with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch #122361.
So many scraps! So many cards to make! How do you use your scraps? I would love to hear your great ideas!!
