Stampin’ Up! Convention was awesome!
And as i thought about that, I wondered what made it more awesome than other years. This year’s convention didn’t seem to have quite as much bling as some previous years – but yet I have come home more excited and energized than previous years. As I ponder my feelings, I realize a few things….
1. This year I allowed myself to DREAM BIG. I haven’t done that in previous years because I was only interested in being a “hobby stamper” with making just enough income to pay for my “stamping habit”. I haven’t had the time or energy in previous years to dream too big because (a) I worked long hours and (b) my leukemia diagnosis zaps my energy big time. There was no time or energy left to add “one more thing” to my life.
2. I allowed myself to say “Imagine….” and “What if….” Too often I have said, “i will never be that good of a salesperson” or “I don’t have the talent to make this happen”…”those other Demonstrators are so much better”…. But this year I gave myself permission to think outside of my box and to look at ways to move forward with my Stampin’ Up! business. “What if I allowed even 20 hours a week to work solely on my business?” “What if I did reach out to people to share what I love?” “Imagine moving forward and participating in the Grand Vacation for the first time” Imagine really being able to provide enough income for my home that I can decrease the burden of my medical expenses from the family budget….just Imagine…!
So this year I have set some new goals for myself. I am not grabbing at straws or being unrealistic. I am setting realistic, concrete goals and steps to advance in a business and area that I love and that I love to share with others.
I ask that you help me along in this venture. Visit my website, hold me accountable, keep me encouraged, order from me on-line, host a private class or workshop, call me and ask me questions or for help, test me and let me know that you are thinking of me.
AND, join my team! Become a part of the ride…just Imagine what we could do together!
